The teeth are gone. In their place I have some bruising and a dull ache. Yesterday the swelling made me look a bit Mr Incredible, with chiselled features etc, but today it’s just chipmunk.

you probably won’t hit me for saying you look slightly horrendous… I can remember having my wisdom teeth out, it wasn’t particularly fun. although, I went under general anaesthetic so all I can remember is waking up crying. In any case, belated congratulations on your schol. And we will both be in melbourne for about 3 days before you leave, but I don’t expect we’ll meet if your departure plans are anything as frantic as mine were. Anyway, enjoy the pumpkin soup!
